I never met Lynza in person but I have been thinking about her since this terrible accident. Jelaine, her Aunt, kept me and the rest of Jelaine’s coworkers posted about her condition at the hospital frequently. Even though I have never met her, I somehow felt close to her and we were all thinking about her and praying for her. I remember driving up and admiring one girl Janessa, working on some art outside and then she led me into the house, it wasn’t long before I saw her sister Lynza show up, and then Myrissa to check me out. As the teacher advisor for council, it was always a pleasure to see her committed to a project and seeing it to fruition. I don’t have many words, since this is a tragedy my brain hasn’t been able to wrap around. Why someone with so much promise is taken so soon, just doesn’t make sense to me. I remember buying fudge from Lynza at the craft fair a couple years ago, and she was the sweetest, most professional young girl. I’ve been eating her fudge ever since. Heartbroken for the family. I lived in Vernon for a time raising my son. The Henke family welcomed me with open arms into there store.
I remember meeting Lynza one day. She was with mom. Her smile was so radiant and lit up the entire room!
